About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, certified Spa Therapist to join our wellness team at the beautiful Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa.

The successful candidate will deliver exceptional spa treatments, uphold high standards of service, and contribute to an elevated guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform spa services including (but not limited to) facials, body treatments, massages, waxing, manicure, and pedicure.
Provide skin and body consultations; recommend appropriate homecare routines and retail products.
Maintain hygiene, safety, and strict spa protocol standards.
Demonstrate confidence in retail sales and in promoting spa programs, ensuring guests are guided toward the best treatments and homecare solutions to support their wellness journey.
Assist in booking, client follow-ups, and re-booking treatments.
Participate in upselling of treatments and products in a tasteful and guest-focused manner.
Support the spa team in achieving performance targets, guest satisfaction, and maintain consistency in service quality.

Certified beauty therapist qualification or a Diploma in Somatology from an accredited institution. Examples: CIDESCO, ITEC, SAAHSP, or equivalent
Proven experience (ideally 2-3 years or more) in a luxury spa or hotel environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; presentable, professional appearance
Good product knowledge and ability to recommend/sell appropriate retail skincare items
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and high-occupancy periods
Strong attention to detail, discipline, and a passion for delivering high standards of guest service

Desirable Qualifications/ Attributes:

Advanced training in body treatments, advanced facial treatments, aromatherapy, reflexology
Experience with spa software (booking / CRM systems)
Customer-oriented with good sales sensibility
